Essential Questions
Can the student put the history of a constellation to its face.
Objectives
I want the student to learn facts about the constellations that they see in the sky. First, the students must find a visual description of each constellation. Next, they must find the history and then present their findings to the class in any form.
Tools and Resources
The student will use Field Experience, Textbook,Primary and Secondary Research.
Rationale
I want the students to complete this lesson so that they know the history behind each constellation in the sky.
Methods of Instruction
The student will use field experience and hands on textbook and computer usage to find their discoveries.
Anticipatory Set
The student will use background knowledge, pictures, photographs, and websites to depict their findings.
Beginning of Lesson
The student must pick fifteen constellations and obtain a visual description of each constellation.
Middle of Lesson
Then he or she must find ten different facts about each constellation and formulae a ten to fifteen sentence paragraph about the history of the constellation. Therefore, there will be a total of fifteen paragraphs. The student will then make a book out of a folder, construction paper, and other materials that will show visuals and give a historical description of each constellation.
End of Lesson
Finally, he or she will give a presentation on their findings of one constellation. The student will learn historical facts about fifteen constellations that can be used for informational presentations.
